As he approaches his sixth anniversary in charge, Mikel Arteta has made it clear that his longevity in North London is directly connected to achieving success.

The Spanish coach took over on December 20th, 2019 and managed to steer the team to an FA Cup triumph within months. Yet, that initial silverware stands as his sole major honor after taking over from Unai Emery.
“Absolutely,” Arteta responded when questioned about staying beyond 2027. “However, it is about today. And many things have to happen in the next few months as well to earn the right.”
He will mark the landmark with a game facing Everton, the identical team Arsenal faced immediately following his appointment was announced.
Present Challenges

Regardless of the availability issues and the intense pressure, Arteta is confident the club's “priorities and messaging” are profoundly distinct from when he first arrived.
The manager referenced the record-breaking achievements as proof they are close. “Examine the performances, all the club records that were shattered... We still haven't been able to do that [win trophies]. But that tells you the standard we operate at.”
